Annette Irene (Wrona) Lupo

Annette Irene Lupo (nee Wrona), 71, a longtime resident of Fox Lake, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018, at JourneyCare Hospice, Barrington, with her son and daughter at her side.

Born June 21, 1947, in Oak Park to the late Leo and Olympia (nee Alcuni) Wrona, she married Peter Lupo November 1, 1969, in St. Bede Church, Ingleside.

Annette was a 1965 graduate of Grayslake High School, who went on to earn her Associate’s Degree in Business from the College of Lake County.  She worked and retired from Abbott Laboratories, where she had been a regional manager.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog “Jack”, working in her yard, sewing, cooking, and decorating.

Survivors include her children, Jake Lupo of Ingleside and Monica Lupo of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Mira and Anthony Karow; sister, Mary Ann (Ron) Clark; sister-in-law, Zofia Lupo; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 1997; brother, Leon Wrona; and brother-in-law, Paul Lupo.

Visitation will be Friday, November 16, from 4 p.m. until the time of prayer service at 8 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.

Visitation will continue Saturday, November 17, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of prayers at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish—St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside.  Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
