Catherine M. (Wehrstein) Cyrzan

Catherine “Cathy” M. Cyrzan (nee Wehrstein), 68, of Ingleside, formerly of Spring Grove, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 7, 1949, in Waukegan, to the late Catherine (nee Muschong) and Frank Wehrstein.  Cathy married Bryce Cyrzan April 15, 1972, at St. Bede Catholic Church.

Cathy worked for District 114 Stanton and Lotus Schools for 25 years.  A longtime member of St. Bede Catholic Church, she was a former and active member of St. Bede School Athletic Association, regularly attending her children’s and grandchildren’s basketball, volleyball, softball, and football games, cheerleading, and wrestling meets.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bryce; children, Jill (Garry) Glauser of Antioch, Bryce (Carmen) Cyrzan of Maple Grove, MN, Brett (Amanda) Cyrzan of McHenry, and Jamie (Greg) Hruby of Streamwood; grandchildren, Brynn, Nathan, and Caden Glauser, Kenna, Cole and Bryce Cyrzan Jr., Brett Cyrzan Jr., and Ethan Hruby; and siblings, David F. Wehrstein of Ingleside and Donna S. Ott of Port Orange, FL.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by brothers, Richard “Dick”, Donald, and James “Jimmy” Wehrstein; and sister, Francis “Frannie” Meisner.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, from 4-8 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, at St. Bede Catholic Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside.  All are invited to go directly to the Church.  Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
