Dominic F. Sacramento, 69, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Lake Villa, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.
He was born January 22, 1949, in Waukegan, to the late Paul and Rose (nee Drinkwine) Sacramento.
A 1967 graduate of Waukegan High School, Dominic went on to bravely serve as an Army medic in Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze Star. Following his service in the Army, Dominic graduated in 1974 from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN. Dominic worked for many years as a repairman for North Shore Office Machine in Kenosha, WI, and then as a self-employed massage therapist for D&J Massage Therapy. He was an avid Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Janice (nee Jankowiak Sykora); children, Joseph (Deborah Estrada) Sacramento, Jason (Jennifer Siske) Sacramento, the late George (Tracey) Sykora, Lori (Ken) Sykora-Calta, and Mark Sykora; grandchildren, Kaia Sacramento, Sophia Sacramento, Ashley and Matthew Sykora, Jordan and Katie Calta, and Samuel and Rosemary Sykora; sister, Grace (Robert) DeGrand; niece, Michelle DeGrand; nephew, Jeffrey DeGrand; and his beloved dog, Scooter.
A memorial visitation will be Monday, July 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lakes St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. Inurnment will be private.
