Keith Solko, 68, of McHenry, died Saturday, September 22, 2018, at his home. He was born January 19, 1950, in Chicago, to Henry and Virginia (nee Blasic) Solko. During his high-school years, he earned the nickname “Fabulous Dog," “Dog,” or "Y.A.".
Keith enjoyed a 25-year career with Budweiser in Arlington Heights, where he retired as a supervisor. He enjoyed loading the delivery trucks with all of the different kinds of beer—Ha Ha! Keith was a wonderful handyman who could fix and do almost anything. Being a handyman served him well as a landlord who owned 110 properties over a 10-year period. He also enjoyed boating on the Chain of Lakes.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Terri (Robert) Walker of Chesapeake, VA, Trisha (Paul Letto) Musich of Spring Grove, and Timothy (Cathy) Topcik of Lindenhurst; grandchildren, Ian and Alexis Hardin, T.J. (Heather), Travis, and Tracie Musich, Julia (Max) Bodette, Trevor (Jessica) and Tyler Topcik; and great-grandchildren, Colton Musich, Cameron Clemons, and Rowan Bodette.
Keith was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Topcik on February 2, 2016; and his parents.
A celebration of Keith’s life will be held Thursday, September 27, from 4-8 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.
