Maria Martha Weiss, 82, of Ingleside, formerly of Lincolnshire, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 18, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 22, 1935, in Oberlienz, Austria, to the late Josef and Notburga (nee Winkler) Lang.
Maria and her husband, Manfred, owned Manfred’s Alpine Inn for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and feeding her birds and squirrels.
Survivors include her daughter, Jasmine (Roman) Watkins of Ingleside; grandson, Roman Watkins of Ingleside; and sister, Burgele Neumayr of Oblerlienz, Austria.
Maria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Manfred Weiss. They were the love of each other’s lives, and are now together after 20 years apart.
Maria’s family sincerely thanks Dr. Dean Deng, of Lake Forest, for his friendship and the wonderful care he provided to Maria. His care made it possible for her to have an enjoyable past couple of years and, for that, we will be always eternally grateful.
