Patricia “Patti” Schultz-Gilbert, 69, of Johnsburg, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in Waukegan. She was born August 25, 1948, in Chicago, to the late Leonard and Winona (nee Hagen) Schultz.
An avid gardener who loved traveling, lying on the beach, camping, and working, Patti most of all loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Gilbert; children, Jerry (Donna) Wettstein of Fox Lake, Tammy (Thom) Sutphin of DeKalb, and Traci (Phil) Bielawski of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Alex, Cassy, Eric, Hailee, Jerry Jr., Nathan, Maddie, and Allie; great-grandson, Ashton—and a great-granddaughter on the way; and sister, Jackie (Jack) Shoblom of Harvard.
In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her sister, Barb Corcoran; and brother, Alan Schultz.
A celebration of Patti’s life will be held Saturday, June 2, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.
