Richard “Rick” Carlson, Sr., 67, of Ingleside, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. He was born August 15, 1951, in Chicago.
In 1991, Rick founded Pepper Auto Body, in Barrington, which provides exceptional service and repair to all of Lake County. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast—especially Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Norma (nee Villarreal); loving children, Richard A. Carlson Jr. and Christine (Kelly) Bochniack; his grandsons and the loves of his life, Noah and Nyles Carlson and Gage Bochniak; siblings, Linda (Jack) Hodgins, Dan (Laura) Borke, Lisa (Bill) Senkiw, and Mary Jo (Jim) Boeing; best friend, Jimmy Zerfass; and many, many nieces and nephews. To his family and friends—especially Jimmy Z.—he loved you all very much!
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Julie (nee Cole); and sisters, Debra and Patricia Nicholas.
