Ross Edward Shea, 53, of Fox Lake, formerly of Round Lake, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his home.
He was born May 7, 1964, in Mundelein, to the late William and Jean (nee Edelberg) Shea.
Ross was a 1982 graduate of Grant Community High School and went on to attend Southern Illinois University, where he pursued a degree in journalism. He loved to work and was a member of Plumbers Local 130, working for Boston Plumbing in Mundelein and Volo. In his free time, Ross enjoyed watching movies, cooking, reading (especially mysteries, crime stories, comics, and mythology), writing poetry, and attending church at Trinity Lutheran in Long Lake. Most of all, Ross loved spending time with his beloved animals.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Tina (nee Hatfield); brothers, Bill (Nancy), David (Ardith), Pat (Sandy), and Dale; stepson, Neil (Antonia) Lauer; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ross was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Margaret Sherman; and brother-in-law, David Hatfield.
Services will be private.
