Aaron R. Best Obituary

Aaron R. Best, an only child, was born December 1, 1937 to Sylvia and Roy Best in Detroit Michigan.  He died peacefully in his sleep February 12, 2024.


Aaron grew up in Detroit accomplishing a four-year apprenticeship at the Tool and Die Institute while working with his Uncle Rudy.   Aaron also achieved the high recognition of being “Apprentice of the Year” in 1963.  In 1964, Aaron took his skills to Wheeling Illinois to pursue his own successful business of plastics in injection molding.  This became a life-long career bringing his only son David into the business.  Aaron retired only seven years ago and gave David the experience to pursue his own career in tool and die.  Aaron also served 2 years in the United States Navy.


Aaron is survived by daughter, Lisa (Bryan) Roberts; son, David (Pamela) Best; his children’s mother, Nancy Wasmer; grandchildren, Nichole (Tommy) Erhardt, and Rick and Scott Roberts;and great- grandchildren, Oliver, Eli, and Elise. 


He was preceded in death by his wife, Judi Best.


A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 17, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25519 W IL-134, Ingleside, IL 60041. Memorial donations to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, appreciated.


Interment will be private.
