Audrey (nee Carlson) Roettiger

Audrey Roettiger (nee Carlson), 96, of Round Lake Beach, formerly a longtime resident of Spring Grove, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.  She was born October 11, 1927, in Chicago, to the late John and Elsa (nee Segermark) Carlson, and was united in marriage to the late Harland F. Roettiger at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Long Lake.

Audrey was a charter and very active member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Fox Lake, and a member of the Lotus School PTO when her daughters were in school.  She was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at Lake Forest Hospital and was involved in home-health care.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Sandy (Charles) Beaudette of Allen, TX and Marcy (Gary Goracio) Williams of Lake Villa; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Audrey was preceded in death by daughter, Renee Lynn Roettiger.

A memorial visitation will be Monday, August 12, from 3 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 5 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Interment will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Platteville, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Audrey’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, appreciated.
