Barbara Joan Wieczorek 75, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Ingleside, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 25, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Barbara was born January 18, 1947, on Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Philip and Aileen Yater. She was married for 20 years to the late Dennis McDonald with whom she had three children: Tim (Lori), Kevin (Julia), and Barbara Lynn (Dan). Later in life she found love again with the late William Wieczorek and spent many happy years in Ingleside. The last 2 years she spent in Arizona where she found new love and deep friendships.

She was very active in her church, spent many hours volunteering, and loved her crafts. Anyone who knew Barbara would say she was a kind and caring person with a heart of gold, and had a contagious smile.

Barbara is survived by her three children; her grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Lindsay, Lauren, Thea, Forrest, and Malcolm; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy (Robert); her brother, Phillip (Nancy); stepchildren, Lisa and David; her sister-in-laws, Carole, Kathy, and Chris; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations be made to either the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association in Barbara Wieczorek’s name.

A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside, at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 17, with urn burial following in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.  The family will host a luncheon after the burial.
