Carolyn Lee Grams (nee Miller), 81, of Volo, peacefully passed away at home Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was born December 23, 1943, in Chicago, to the late Nicholas and Ramona (nee Borski) Miller.
In 1963, William Jr., Greg, Myra, and Carolyn founded the Volo Auto Museum. Carolyn and Myra went on to found the Volo Antique Mall in 1992. Carolyn was a hard-working, generous, and caring person with a big heart. She was a caregiver to many people, including her mother- and father-in-law, Gertrude and William Grams. When not working, Carolyn enjoyed going for walks with her dogs and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Keith) Santiago; granddaughter, Mila Santiago; twin sister, Marilyn Miller; dogs, Lil Cheese and Lily Pup; brother-in-law, Greg (Myra) Grams; sisters-in-law, Georgiana Grams-Kos and Christine Patterson; nephews and niece, Brian (Lesa), Jay, and Brenda Grams; great nephews and nieces, Mike (Shannon) Grams, Chantal Schuerr, Brianna Grams, Shelby Grams, Bridget Card, and Piper Hindman.
In addition to her parents and mother- and father-in-law, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, William, on May 12, 2020; and great-nephew, Ryan Grams.
Visitation Friday, July 18, 5-8 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd.. Visitation resumes Saturday, July 19, from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., at the funeral home, with procession to St. Peter Catholic Church, 27551 Volo Village Rd., Volo, for 1 p.m. Mass. Burial in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Volo.
