Connie Petrillo Obituary

Connie Petrillo, age 57, while still fighting cancer, Connie was in a tragic car accident and passed away suddenly, October 24, 2023.  Connie was a cherished daughter of Janet (Joseph Trkovsky) Cancian and the late Luigi Cancian and loving mother of Alex and Nicole Petrillo.  She was a caring grandmother of Noah, Cole and Oden.  Connie was a niece of the late Chuck Kelly and Arlene and dear cousin of Peggy, Judy, Suzie and the late Linda and Ray.  She cherished her longtime friendship with Valerie Liqueur.  Connie graduated from Grant High School early and attended the Nursing Program at College of Lake County being the youngest nurse to graduate.  She was a registered nurse for 35+ years at St. Therese Hospital and Alden Nursing home.  It is no wonder she was so good at her job, she was a natural caretaker, she was always taking care of someone.   For enjoyment she loved swimming and being in the water.  Connie will be missed by many.  In lieu of flowers, a tree in Connie's Memory would be appreciated or a donation to the American Lung Association.  A memorial service may be held in the future.  Please do not send flowers.  Thank you.
