Dennis Hruby, 76, of Spring Grove, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington.  He was born January 30, 1945, in Berwyn.

A 1963 graduate of Grant Community High School, Dennis went on to have a 39-year career with ComEd.  He was a jack-of-all trades, who was always working on fixing or improving something.  Generous with his time, he enjoyed working with his kids on projects and spending time with his grandchildren.  Dennis was a car hobbyist who liked working on his classic car and enjoyed an occasional cruise night with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara (nee Bradley); children, Alissa Hruby and Brian (Rebecca) Hruby; grandchildren, Allorah, Bridgit, Edward, and Charles; brother, Donald (Christine) Hruby; and mother-in-law, Margaret Kiraly.

Visitation will be Friday, June 11, from 5-8 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremation, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. There will be no service. Burial will be private in East Fox Lake Cemetery, Lake Villa.
