Diane Lynn (nee Jenkins) Putnam

Diane Lynn Putnam (nee Jenkins), age 70, passed away November 17, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 5, 1950 to the late Robert and Dorothy Jenkins.  From them she inherited her tremendous strength and resilience, along with her wonderful sense of humor.  Her keen intellect and quick wit made any conversation with her a delight.  She married her true love and soul mate, Robin Putnam, in 1994, and their three decades of marriage were filled with unconditional love and friendship.  

Diane enjoyed exploring with her husband.  Together, they traveled across the country, taking road trips wherever their whim took them, from the Dakotas to Niagara Falls.  Along with her wanderlust, Diane possessed a loving spirit and a passion for animals.  After her children grew up and left the nest, she and Robin welcomed dogs into their home and were wonderful caretakers to Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds.  To visit Grandma’s house was to visit a home brimming with warm memories, funny stories, and a lot of love.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Robin Putnam; daughter Lisa (Scott) Mayenschein;  daughter Kelly Lindgren;  son Matt (Viviane) Lindgren and their son Sam, who adored playing with his grandma; stepdaughter Carrie (Burt) Hurner and their children, Mary and Nathan; stepdaughter Casey Putnam; brothers Donald (Sharon) Jenkins, John (Renee) Jenkins, and Bob (Sherry) Jenkins; many loving nieces, nephews and friends; and her beloved dog, Amber.  Diane enriched the lives of all of these people and more, and she will live on in our memories.

A private service will be held on November 25 at 3:00 pm.
