Dolores “Dee” Nielsen (nee Morse), 76, of Johnsburg, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020, at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, IL following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born October 28, 1943, in Melrose Park, IL, to the late Harland and Dorothy (nee Spearing) Morse.
Dee grew up in Fox Lake and was a graduate of Grant Community High School. She went on to own her own commercial and residential cleaning service, Dee-tailed Cleaning.
Dee was a wonderful hostess whose home was the-place-to-be for picnics, parties, and family gatherings. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, golfing, and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Charise Nielsen, Bryan (Susan) Nielsen, and Kevin (Kimberly) Nielsen; grandchildren, Branden (Hillary) Baker, Amber and Teesha Jepsen, and Bradlee (Destiny) Chebny, Brittany (Shawn) McCafferty, Samantha Peplow, Brianna Nielsen, Nikki Grant, and McCleod, Zachary, and Joshua Nielsen; great-grandchildren, Callie, Chance, Destiny, Olivia, Skylynn, Luke, Winston, and Maddie Lyn; and brother, Ron (Jeannie) Morse.
In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; brother, Allan Morse; and grandson, Austin Grant.
Graveside service 10 a.m., Saturday, August 15, Grant Cemetery, Molidor Road, Ingleside.
