Dolores “Dorie” Rutkowski (nee Koziol), 95, of Fox Lake, peacefully passed away at home Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was born August 8, 1929, in Chicago, to the late Frank and Rose (nee Bobek) Koziol.
Survivors include her children, Diane (Jerry) Ditter, James Rutkowski, Russell Rutkowski, Wendy Varygiannes, and Ronald Rutkowski; grandchildren, Carrie Pihl, Amy (Robert) Notter, Lori (Timothy) Heilemann, John Varygiannes, Demi Varygiannes, Courtney (Cassie) North, Michael Rutkowski, and Jessica Rutkowski; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Burns, Liam Heilemann, Jake Notter, Clare Notter, Cameron Pihl, Finley Pihl, and Isaac North.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rutkowski; son, David Rutkowski; and siblings, Frank Koziol and Lorraine Lindgren.
Visitation Monday, May 12, from 8-9:30 a.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. A 10 a.m. Mass will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Johnsburg.
