Dominga “Minga” Saldivar (nee Ramirez), 87, of Cotulla, Texas, recently of Round Lake Park, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021. She was born March 29, 1934, in Cotulla, to the late Domingo and Miquila (nee Gonzales) Ramirez.
Minga worked for Deringer Manufacturing in Mundelein for more than 25 years. She enjoyed coloring books for adults and watching Jerry Springer and Cheaters—with the volume turned off. Above all, Minga was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with them.
Survivors include her children, Inocencio (Martha) Saldivar Jr., Eliseo (Betty) Saldivar, Linda (Dave) Sabourin, and Rita (the late Michael) Gier; grandchildren, Vincent, Sabrina, Laree, Laura, Sonya, Victor, Maria, Amanda, Dustin, Derrick, Dillon, and Deon; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Riley, Sophia, Abigail, Victor Jr., Luna, Caleb, Rebecca, Jacob, Morgan, Logan, and Lincoln; and great-great granddaughter, Alahna.
Minga was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Inocencio Saldivar Sr.; and daughter, Juanita (the late Bob) Portzen.
Visitation Sunday, June 27, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Burial will be in Cotulla, Texas.
