Edward Naydol Obituary

Edward “Ed” C. Naydol, 80, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, surrounded by family members.  He was born March 28, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Florence A. Miller (nee Mirabella) and Edward C. Naydol.  He is survived by three brothers and two sisters.

He was a resident of Woodstock, Illinois for many years and, before living in Woodstock, he was a long-time resident of Ingleside, Illinois.  Ed was employed with the Brake Parts Company in McHenry, Illinois and retired as the manager of the Product Catalog Department.

Ed was called upon to help support his family at a young age and he became a father figure for his younger brothers and sisters.  Words cannot describe the help and sacrifices he made for his family and the generosity he showed for others in need.  He can be described as a caring person who would help those in need and a terrific brother who set a good example for his younger siblings to follow.

He loved sports and supported his favorite Chicago teams: the White Sox, Bears, and Blackhawks; and enjoyed playing 16-inch softball in his younger days.  His hobbies included: painting, cooking, boating—and he especially enjoyed working in the gardens around his house.  Ed also liked playing the drums and was the original drummer for a local band that toured the Midwest called the Twiliters.

This is a sad day for us.  We lost a brother, uncle, and friend.  He meant the world to us.  The Lord called your name to join Him in the heavens above and our prayers and thoughts go out with you today and always.  We love you Ed.  You will be missed.  May you rest in peace.

Ed is survived by his brother, Robert “Bob” Naydol of Fox Lake, IL, his sister, Emily (Tom) Lunkenheimer of McHenry, IL, his brother George (Marianne) Naydol of Spring Grove, Illinois, his sister, Joanne Watkins of McHenry, IL, and his brother, Joseph “Joe” Miller of Mundelein, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
