Evelyn A. Bazata, 98, a resident of Ingleside for more than 40 years, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital. She was born December 27, 1922, in Cicero.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Evelyn loved gathering her family at her home for annual, holiday get togethers. An excellent cook and spectacular baker, she enjoyed feeding her family and friends and sending them home with care packages.
Survivors include her children, James “Jim” (Sarah) Bazata, Donna Budil, Jerry (Vicki) Bazata, and Linda Bazata; grandchildren, Dean and Mark (Heather) Bazata, and David (Ashley Garfield) and Aaron (Amy Means) Bazata; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Jacob Bazata.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and brother, Joseph (Lorraine) Stastny.
A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at a later date.
