Gail Ann Stanula (nee Glozier), 75, of Volo, formerly a longtime resident of Fox Lake, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at home. She was born February 7, 1950, in Chicago, to the late James and Irene (nee Duplessis) Glozier.
She was a devout grandmother, and caretaker who had a big heart for all children. She is survived by her children, Walter L. (Dena) Stanula, Michele Cotsirilos, Jaclyn (Mark) Lindberg, Pamela (Billy) Magna, and Jeanine (Matt) Ogorek; grandchildren, Walter L. (fiancée Ren) Stanula, Jordan (Ryan) Reyes, Madison (Brandon) Stanula, Paris Stanula, Peter and Nicholas Cotsirilos, Owen Lindberg, Aubrey, Avery, and Bubba Magna, Teddy and Emma Ogorek; great-grandchildren, Celine and Vincent Stanula; siblings, Larry Glozier, Diane (David) Gallico, and Jim (Grace) Glozier; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Stanula, Jr. on July 16, 2011.
Visitation Thursday, April 3, from 4-8 p.m., Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, April 4, at Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. All are invited to go directly to the church. Interment will be private.
