Gary S. Haskell, 80, of Johnsburg, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at home. He was born January 26, 1942, in Bremerton, WA, to the late Harry and Martha (nee Piatt) Haskell.
Gary attended Bradley University and went on to work at Johns Manville, Horner Waldorf, and Smurfit-Stone, retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed Bass fishing and competitions. Gary was a member of the Illinois Bass Federation and past secretary of the Mutiny Bass Masters, Ben Watts Marina (BWM) Anglers, and Wisconsin Bass Federation.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol Haskell; children, Cary S. Haskell and Stephen S. (Brenda) Haskell; grandchildren, Michael (Mary) and Kaitlynn Haskell; and many loving friends.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by brother, Roger W. Haskell.
Visitation Tuesday, November 29, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Burial to follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Johnsburg.
