George L. Secor Jr., 96, of Ingleside, formerly a 65-year resident of the Round Lake area, died Monday, February 6, 2023, at home. 

Born in Chicago February 2, 1927, to the late George W. and Evelyn (nee Hennebury) Secor, he married Gloria A. McPherson February 3, 1956, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Round Lake Park.

George attended RC High School in Chicago and served in the Army stationed in Europe.  George worked for over 30 years for Outboard Marine Corp in Waukegan.  He served on the Round Lake Fire Department for 25 yers and was a past president of the Lake County Fireman’s Association.  He especially enjoyed fishing trips to Rhinelander and Eagle River, WI.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda; and granddaughter, Katie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Secor.

A private graveside service was held at Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.
