Glen Fruhstuck, 57, a longtime resident of Fox Lake, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Northwestern McHenry Hospital. He was born June 8, 1962, in Lake Forest, to Helge and Tove (nee Schnell) Fruhstuck.
Glen worked for Northrop Grumman for the past 38 years, most recently in supply-chain management. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast who founded the Harley-Davidson “Springer Classics” 2005-2007 group on Facebook, which drew members from around the world. He enjoyed mountain biking, was an avid watch collector, and volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Survivors include his son, Matt Fruhstuck; parents, Helge and Tove Fruhstuck; sister, Gail (Mark) Fruhstuck Morey; niece, Amanda Morey; his longtime love of 16 years, Teresa Bausch; and former wife, Cindy (nee Kennedy) Fruhstuck McDowall.
Visitation Saturday, March 14, from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 5 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. To help celebrate Glen’s life, you are welcome to wear your favorite Harley Davidson or casual attire.
