Helen A. Bobek (nee Osmolak), 94, of Ingleside, formerly a longtime resident of Norridge, died Friday, March 6, 2020, at home. She was born September 13, 1925, in Chicago, to the late Joseph and Josephine (nee Ozimkiewicz) Osmolak.
Helen had a 43-year career with Mars Candy, during which she held many positions. She enjoyed baking and was known to be a loving caregiver. Most of all, Helen loved spending time with her family—especially her granddaughter.
She was the beloved mom of Jim (Barb) and Ray Bobek; loving grandmother of Cassandra Bobek; cherished great-grandmother of Kaleb and Jace; loving aunt to Gale (goddaughter), Janice, Cathy, Deborah, and many other nieces and nephews; and further survived by her daughter-in-law’s family, Sandra (Daniel) Schuster (and their children, Jordan, Julia, Darius, Dryden, Jasmine, Devin, Daniel, Jenelle, and Nina) and Michael (Cynthia) Little.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Casimir; and siblings, John, Chester, Ed, and Jean.
Memorial visitation Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at 4 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Private interment.
