Helen Mackenzie, 70, of Henderson, NV (formerly Rockford, IL) peacefully passed away June 17, 2022 at Nathan Adelson Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Helen was born January 6, 1952 in Owensboro, KY.  She grew up in Chicago, and raised her family in Rockford before moving to the Las Vegas area. 

Helen spent many years recruiting physicians for various clinics and hospitals.  She loved the career path she chose as it gave her the opportunity to travel and meet new people.  Many of her co-workers and physicians that she had hired became life-long friends.

She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, spending time with her dogs, shopping and visiting with family and friends.  Her friendships were genuine and long lasting.  She was always willing to lend an ear, give advice, be available and enjoy a good laugh.  The time she spent with family was treasured.  Her dedication, love and companionship to all of us was obvious with each visit.  There are so many joyous memories that will be forever held in our hearts. 

Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a devoted daughter, sister and friend.  Her enthusiasm for life will always be remembered, and her laughter, kind heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Alex Mackenzie. Children, Lisa (Jeff) Yarbrough, Jason (Jen) Piotrowski.  Grandchildren, Zachary and Caden Yarbrough.  Mother, Anna Pedowski, Sister, Zofia Lupo and Brother, Stan Piwowarski, along with numerous other family members and close friends.

Memorial Visitation will be Thursday, July 07, 2022 from 10:00 am until time of service at 01:30 pm.
