James "Jim" Curran Obituary

James “Jim” Curran, 78, of Lake Villa, died March 28, 2024. He was an avid outdoorsman, an active member of his church, and a contributor to multiple charitable organizations. Jim enjoyed woodworking, traveling the country, and visiting family in Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Avie; children, A.J.
(Sarah Taulman-Curran) and Lisa (Mike Cumings); his beloved granddaughter, Amelia and his brother Leon (Linda) and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Jim was the son of the late Robert and Catherine. He is preceded in death by his siblings Catherine, Agnes Fidler, Robert Jr., William, Joan Monahan, Mary Jane O’Connor, and Maureen. Memorial visitation will be Friday, April 12, 4-8 p.m. at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Peter Church, 557 Lake St., Antioch. A reception and
time for visiting will immediately follow the Mass. Internment will be private. Memorials in Jim’s name to the cancer organization of your choice is greatly appreciated.
