Joan Bennett Obituary

Joan E. Bennett (nee Lindstrom), 86, of McHenry, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at The Pearl of Crystal Lake. She was born June 11, 1936, in Chicago.

She worked for many years as certified nursing assistant at Alden Terrace in McHenry. Prior to working at Alden, Joan worked at Woolworth’s in Fox Lake at the lunch counter.

Joan was well known at and a founding member of Maranatha Assembly of God since 1981.

Survivors include her sister, Sandra (the late Lyle) Swift of Antioch; daughters, Joann Bennett, Rita (Jefferey) Hall, Karen (Joseph) Ford, Dianna Bennett, and Barb Coberley; grandchildren, Jack (Rebecca) Bennett, Patricia Hall, Jeremy Kozlowski, Amber Phillips, Tony Cameron, Daniel Gomez, and Derek Gomez; and great-granddaughters, Anastasia Bennett and Hallie Kozlowski.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, on April 24, 1972; mother, Eleanor (nee Dugas); daughter, Mary Bennett Brown; granddaughter, Therese Bennett; and sister, Sonja Maki.

Services and interment will be private.
