Judith “Judy” Wright (nee Seegert), 80, of Gurnee, formerly of Spring Grove, died Monday, January 7, 2019, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Round Lake Beach. She was born January 18, 1938, in Chicago, to the late Carl and Betty (nee Johnson) Seegert.
Judy was an avid crafter who excelled at sewing and crocheting. She was a devoted, caring, and beloved friend and neighbor who touched many hearts. She had worked as a tax preparer at Liberty Tax in Libertyville and Mundelein and had previously been a kindergarten teacher.
Survivors include her sister, Roberta (Albert) Purath; nephews and niece, James, Alan, and Steven Purath, and Lynn Kramer; and many, many beloved friends and “adopted” family—including Beth Rihacek and all of the Jaeger/Rihacek clan.
In addition to her parents, Judy, was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Wright.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial visitation until 6 p.m., Saturday, January 12, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy’s name may be made to the animal rescue of your choice.
