Larry Lee Moore, 74 of McHenry IL passed away on June 29, 2024 at Northwestern Hospital, McHenry IL. He was born on October 13, 1949 in Evanston IL to Richard and Loretta Moore.

He grew up in Glenview IL and was a 1967 graduate of Glenbrook South High School. Larry served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 - 1971 and was stationed in Germany assigned to a Radio Communications Division. After returning from his service in the Army, Larry attended trade school and became a Certified Electrician. In addition to his skills as an Electrician, Larry used his self-developed skills to become a SAE Certified Auto Mechanic and was very talented and self-taught in carpentry and plumbing as well.

Larry never hesitated to help family, friends and neighbors out in emergencies or with projects if he could and most often asked nothing in return.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Loretta Moore.

Larry’s surviving family includes his only Brother Randy (Nancy) Moore, Nephew James (Laura) Moore, Niece Jessica (Trevor) Johnson, 6 Grand Nieces/Nephews, Cousins/second Cousins, and his Partner, Best Friend, and Love, Leslie M. Churney.

Larry had previously pre-arranged to be cremated and requested not to have a formal wake or memorial service. In honoring his request, the family appreciates your kind thoughts, prayers and remembrances of him.
