Lawrence "Larry" Edward Reinwald Obituary

Lawrence E. Reinwald, 72, of Fox Lake, IL (formerly from Northfield, IL; Rothschild, WI; and Greenwood, IN), passed away February 7, 2023, of heart failure.  Larry served our country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He then worked for the US Postal Service until he retired.  He loved sports and was an amazing baseball player and competitive horseshoe player.  He was a talented artist and a gifted, self-taught musician.


Larry is survived by his siblings, Steven (the late Judy) Reinwald, William (Linda) Reinwald, Robert (Sandy) Reinwald, and Kathy (George) Lillig; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; sister-in-law, Connie Reinwald; and former spouse, Sherrill Hofer.


He is preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Melody (nee Strebig) Reinwald; parents, Andrew and Kathleen Reinwald; and brother, Tony Reinwald.


A celebration of Larry's life will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 1-5 p.m., at VFW Post 4551, 75 North Ave., Antioch, IL 60002.
