Linda M. Karg (nee Malik), 71, of Ingleside, peacefully passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at JourneyCare, Barrington.  She was born October 9, 1953, in Chicago, to the late Louis and Dolores (nee Fochesato) Malik.

Prior to retiring, Linda was a Senior Claims Adjuster for State Farm Insurance.  In her free time, she enjoyed ceramics and craft shows.  Above all, she loved to spend time with her family—especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Albert “Al” Karg; son, Matthew (fiancée Mary Day) Wutzen; stepchildren, Brian (Janet) Karg; Alison Karg; Jeffrey (Amanda) Karg, and Jami (Eric) Gearing; grandchildren, Madison and Brynn Karg, Lylah Upton, and Cameryn, Jaxson, and Paetyn Gearing; siblings, Sharon Malone, Cynthia (the late Mark) Chmura, and Don (Tami) Malik Sr.; nephews and nieces, Shawn, Lisa, Chris, Mark, Steven, Krystal, Don Jr., and Eric; and many other extended family members and friends.

Visitation Thursday, July 17, 8:30-10:30 a.m., Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, followed by 11 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Linda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), appreciated.
