Lisa Maria Thomason (Nordling), left us on the morning of Saturday, July 29th, 2023. Lisa was a passionate educator, talented artist, avid gardener, devoted mother, and loving wife. She was a special education teacher at Allendale for 22 years, after being one of first female sales representatives for Chicopee Mills. She loved her family dearly, and is survived by her husband James A. Thomason Jr, son James A. Thomason III (Carolyn Kacner), daughter Elizabeth V. Thomason (Angelo DelGiudice), and grandson James Alexander Thomason. Visitation will be held at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake, IL on Sunday, August  6th, from 2-4 pm. Eulogies will begin at 4 pm. (click here to view the livestream, which will open at 3:30 pm). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Lake County Forest Preserves, to continue Lisa’s legacy of preserving our natural areas, or Animal Education & Rescue, where she rescued her two beautiful cats Josephina and Endora.
