Marcia Jean Richards (nee Unruh), 68, of Fox Lake, peacefully passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.  She was born December 22, 1953, in Redland, WA, to the late Edwin and Agnes (nee Tonyan) Unruh.

Marcia previously worked as an executive secretary at Kemper Insurance and enjoyed time with family, gardening, gourmet cooking, and taking walks with her dogs.

Survivors include her significant other and love of her life for 23 years, Scott Grunewald; son, Tom (Jamie) Richards; granddaughters, Elizabeth (Lucas) Birdsall, Cara (Sam Jackson), Kennedi (Stephon Paris-Jones), Emilee, and Charlee; and great-granddaughters, Arabella, Autumn Ann, and Gianna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marcia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, appreciated.
