Marion Brunner (nee Eriksson), 83, of McHenry, former longtime resident of Fox Lake and Mount Prospect, peacefully passed away June 29, 2022. She was born January 24, 1939, in Göteborg, Sweden.
Marion came to this country in 1959. She soon met her soulmate, Alfons Brunner, and they married November 21, 1964, in Chicago. She will be best remembered for her funny comments and her Swedish accent (which she didn’t think she had). Her life was filled with raising two children and travelling the globe with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Richard and Mark; Richard’s wife, Jennifer; and Richard’s daughter, Rachel.
Marion was preceded in death by husband, Al, on October 22, 2012; and mother, Eva (nee Larsson).
Visitation Sunday, July 3, from 2-5 p.m., Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Committal service 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, All Saints Cemetery Interment Chapel, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines (all are invited to meet at cemetery).
