Mary A. (nee Abeln) Frey

Mary A. Frey (nee Abeln) passed away peacefully, April 12, 2025.  She was born June 03, 1936 in Breese, Il to the late Leo and Lucille Abeln.  Mary was the beloved wife of the late Dennis E. Frey with whom she was united with him in marriage on June 18, 1955 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Palatine, Il.  She was the loving mother of Shawn (Mary) Frey of Ingelside, cherished grandmother of Breanna Atlee of Ingleside, Tiffany (Matthew) Weinreis of McHenry and Travis (Silvia) Frey.  Mary was the great grandmother of Wyatt, Dylaeni, Annabelle, Ian, Lily, Cameron and Evelyn.  She was a dear sister of Helen Simon of Palatine and the late Leonard Abeln of Wilmington, Il, Phillip Abeln of Peshitgo, Wi and Maurice (Georgia) Abeln of Missouri.

Mary has lived in Ingleside since 1972.  She was member of St. Bede Catholic Church, The Ladies Sodality and Woman's Auxilary of the Lakes Region American Legion Post 73 of Fox Lake.  

She was formerly employed by Market Financial Group in Crystal Lake as an Insurance Broker and Representative.

Mary loved to garden, Quilt, Embroidering and Bingo.  One of her favorite memories was.......on a snowy day the grandkids would come over and go sledding down their hill, she loved watching them have so much fun.
