Melody S. (nee Bunte) Krapf

Melody S. Krapf (nee Bunte), 70, of Ingleside, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.  She was born November 6, 1952, in Chicago, to the late Charles and Muriel (nee Simonson) Bunte.

Melody was very active in Antioch Moose Lodge #525, where she had been a past Chapter Analyst and Coordinator and Deputy Grand Regent for the Illinois Moose Association.  Above all, Melody loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Edmund “Ed” (Lori) Krapf Jr., Craig Krapf, Dana (Lawrence “Larry”) Beyer, and Dan Krapf; grandchildren, Kelsey (Charles) Washburn, Brook and Caroline Krapf, Cole Krapf, Michael and Clarissa Phelps, Andrew Krapf, and Gina Beyer; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Harper Washburn, Athena Krapf, and Holden Graham; siblings, Kyle Bunte and Jackie Lopez; and many beloved fellow Moose of the The Loyal Order of Moose.

In addition to her parents, Melody was preceded in death by husband, Edmund Krapf Sr.; and brother, George.

Memorial visitation Sunday, May 21, from 12 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 4 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  A reception will follow.  Urn burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 22, at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago.
