Myrna D. Schindler, 63, of Fox Lake, died peacefully at her home Wednesday, September 16, 2020. She was born in the Philippines January 2, 1957, and married Mark Schindler May 20, 1992.
Myrna enjoyed fishing, music, dancing, and playing Briscas with her daughters. She had a passion for cooking and baking and was known to be the glue holding her family and friends together. Most importantly, Myrna loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Mark; children, Jiji (Tom) Stahl, Jerome Juquiton, Mary (Amanda Weert) Schindler, Misty (Nathaniel) Hoglund, and Kandace (Seth Barnett) Schindler; grandchildren, Mason Stahl, Vivian Hoglund, and Calvin Barnett; brother, Elbert (Evelyn) Damiles; and many loving extended family members and friends.
Myrna was preceded in death by her grandson, William Hoglund; mother, Carmen Damiles; and sister, Nelly Ullegue.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, from 1 p.m. until the 5:30 p.m. wake service, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Visitation will continue Monday, September 21, from 9-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Rd., Ingleside. Entombment will be in the Ascension Cemetery Mausoleum, Libertyville. Please note face masks will be required to be worn, and physical distancing practiced, while in the funeral home, church, and at the cemetery. St. Bede will only allow 50 people, including the immediate family, inside the church for the funeral Mass.
