Nancy Christina (nee Casolari) Thielsen

Nancy Christina Thielsen (nee Casolari), 89, of McHenry, died unexpectedly Friday, December 31, 2021, at home.  In Chicago, on August 22, 1932, she was born to the late Joseph and Nancy Marie (nee Riggi) Casolari.  She Married the late Donald F. Thielsen February 16, 1952, in Chicago.

Nancy worked for Lakeland Press in Grayslake and was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, where she was a member of the BVM Sodality.  She enjoyed sewing, bowling, loved golf, but above all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Cheryl), Ken, Gary (Cathy Mattingly), Br. Donald O.F.M. Conv., Steven (Karen), Gregory, Jeff (Cindy), and Michael (Jane) Thielsen; daughter, Gail Smith; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; siblings, Patty Lord, Christine Peters, Louis (Jan), Terri Klepacki, Jeannie, Claire Simmons, and Joe; sister-in-law, Alice (the late Richard) Thielsen; and many beloved extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by husband, Donald F. on October 22, 2019; infant son, Joseph; son-in-law, Jerry Smith; siblings, Frank, Lorraine Clara, Sr. Lorraine Marie, and Mary (Felix) Nylec; and sister-in-law, Lorraine (George) Koehl.

Visitation 3-8 p.m., Thursday, January 13, at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.  Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Friday, January 14, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg, IL 60051.  Please go directly to the church.  Private inurnment in St. John the Baptist Columbarium, Johnsburg.
