Richard “Richie” J. Sipolt, 73, a lifelong resident of Ingleside, died Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was born December 21, 1945, to Emil and Casmira (nee Zak) Sipolt, in Berwyn.
Richard was a hardworking and dedicated husband and father. He was a skilled machinist and a great friend who could make anyone laugh, with his wit. He was a master storyteller. He enjoyed all kinds of car racing, going out to breakfast, and catching up with friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (nee VanGeertruy) in 1996; his mother, Casmira in 2005; and brother, Thomas Sipolt in 2018.
Survivors include his children, Matthew (fiancée Beth Baldwin) Sipolt, Jennifer (Brian) Baker, and Melissa (Bob Zloczewski) Sipolt; five grandchildren; father, Emil Sipolt; brother, Tim (Debra) Sipolt; sister-in-law, Joyce Sipolt; and many close family members and friends.
Memorial visitation Thursday, October 17, from 3 p.m. until the celebration of Richard’s life at 7:30 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Inurnment Friday, October 18, at 10 a.m., in Grant Cemetery, Molidor Road, Ingleside.
