Rosemary “Mama Rose” Stone, 82, of Ingleside, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at home.  She was born January 9, 1940, in Chicago.

Rosemary was the beloved wife to her late husband of 62 years, Carnell; devoted mother to her five children; and beloved grandma and great-grandma to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at family cookouts.  In addition to family get togethers, she loved to swim, camp, and travel—especially to Canada and Tennessee. 

Survivors include her children, Dale Stone, Patricia (the late Alfonso) Vasquez, Donnie (Linda Martin) Stone, Linda (David) Frederick, and Dave (fiancée Sarah Martino); grandchildren, Tanya Stone, Barbara Jean Stone, Christina and Gina Rowlett, Alfey (Jessica Abbott) and Jesse (fiancée Krysten) Vasquez, Donny Jr., April, Jennifer, and Tiffany Stone, Jonathan Corrigan, and Jameson, Gavin, Tyler, Joselyn, and Cody Stone; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Sohn; and sister-in-law, Gladys Grooms.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carnell, on February 12, 2020; and her parents, La Mar and Hazel (nee Chase) Sohn.

Memorial visitation Sunday, June 5, from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at 4 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake.
