Sarah Annette Simmons, 59, of Ingleside, passed away surrounded by family Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital. She was born December 17, 1962, in Jonesboro, AR, to the late John and Lorrie (nee Riley) Travis.
Sarah grew up in Bay, AR the daughter of farmers. There, Sarah gained her incredible, strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone in need. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, tending to her plants, exercise, and spending time with her family—especially her beloved dogs: Stella, Jack, Chloe, and Lexi.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Jeremy Simmons; children, Kellie (Ben) Merideth Davison of Jonesboro, John Michael (Ashley) Merideth of Louisville, KY, and Randa Brooke (Allison Smith) Simpson of Ingleside; grandchildren, Bailey and Abbiekay Hyde, Holden, Makenzie, and Philip Davison, and Noah Merideth; siblings, John Steve (Jeannie) Travis of Jonesboro, Mark (Laquita) Travis of Needham, AR, and Carolyn (Ray) Travis of Marked Tree, AR; father-in-law, Jerry (Neda) Simmons of Jonesboro; and sisters- and brother-in-law, Jeriann (Mitch) Swindle, Jerrod Simmons, and Chelsey (Devin) Gadberry all of Jonesboro.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her sister, Cora Lee (John) May of Paragould, AR; and mother-in-law, Carolyn (Ray) Tomlinson.
Memorial visitation Saturday, March 12, from 3-6 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Private Interment.
