Stanley A. Luta, Jr., 79, of Trevor, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born October 26, 1944, in Chicago, to the late Stanley and Mabel (nee Konopacz) Luta.
Stanley was a past President of the Kiwanis Club and Historical Society of Des Plaines and the Antioch Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was a member of the Antioch Lions Club and member of the Des Plaines United Way from 1976-1981. He worked for the United States Post Office for 30 years. Stanley was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his siblings, Judith (Charles) Hillstrom and Stephen (Ingrid) Luta; nephews and nieces, Justin Hillstrom, Traci (George) Tsakiris, and Kyle Hillstrom, and Adele (James) Kearney, Arlette (Joseph) Roberts, Alec (Sheila) Luta, and Austin Luta; and many friends.
A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, from 4 p.m. until the time of prayer service at 7 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Inurnment will be Thursday, September 19, 10:00 a.m.; please meet in the All Saints Cemetery Chapel, Des Plaines.
