Tom was born in 1936 in Carlyle, IL. He moved to Chicago at the young age of 16. He met his wife Darlene and they married when he was 19. They resided in Chicago for many years, relocating to the far northern suburbs in the late 1980’s. Many of their children followed them. Tom and Darlene were the hub of their family.
Who was Thomas D Leitsch Sr…? A fly fisherman. A master builder. An archery specialist. A country western singer. Oh, those were things that dad thought he was. Tom was a storyteller. He could weave a tale with the best of them. He loved to talk.
Tom was outspoken. You always knew where you stood with him. He worked for many years as a welder. He was always one to have many projects going at one time, whether at work or at home. He loved to keep busy.
Tom was a member of St Bede’s parish in Ingleside IL.
Services will be private.
