Warren E. Mroz, Jr., 73, of Lake Villa, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. He was born January 11, 1948, in Chicago, to the late Warren E. and Lorraine (nee Froelich) Mroz.
He was a graduate of Grant Community High School and retired as a project manager with Rock-Tenn in Bolingbrook. An avid bowler and 16-inch softball player, Warren was also a big fan of the Chicago Bears and enjoyed boating.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Frances (nee Manz); children, Lesley (Mark) Misiek and Jared Mroz; favorite granddaughter, Sydney Misiek; favorite grandson, Will Misiek; beloved twin brother and best friend, Lawrence (Kathy) Mroz; sisters, Elizabeth (the late Ron) Micheli and Judy (Steve) Congdon; nephews and nieces, Justin, Kyle (Heather), and Christopher (Krista) Mroz, Michael (Jennifer) Micheli, Lauren Micheli, and Ashley (Geddy) Karrle; Corinne (Troy) Petras, Matt Congdon, Stephanie (fiancé Patrick Hansen) Congdon, and Lisa Manz; aunt, Marge (the late Jack) Henry; and brother-in-law, Paul (Peggy) Manz.
Memorial visitation Friday, June 18, from 2 p.m. until the celebration of Warren’s life at 7 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Per CDC guidelines, vaccinated people will not be required to wear face masks; unvaccinated people will need to wear face masks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Warren’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, appreciated.
