One of my first teachers I ever worked with at Gavin Elementary. I learned so much from her. It was so touching to see how much she loved each one of her students. Her family was so important to her... and then there were her flowers. You will be missed Carol.

Mrs. Ganzer taught my son Shaun from 1st thru 5th grade. She started with a boy who spoke very little and by the end of the 5th year he grew leaps and bounds. I could never thank her enough for all she has done for us. We found time to always go back and visit, it was one of Shauns favorite things to do. He is now 23 and to this day he will bring her name up in conversation and remember something from his time spent with her. We were blessed to have known her and the wonderful person she was. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you!

I knew Carol for many years, although I never had the pleasure of teaching directly with her. As a fellow SEDOL employee, we knew each other through meetings and chance encounters. Her reputation was that of a well respected and loved teacher. We will miss her at our retired teacher breakfasts!

Had the great opportunity to see your mom in action in her last classroom. She was so very special. And kind and always smiling and never complained. I still have some blue scissors with the name GANSER on them when your mom asked everyone in the class if you wanted anything she no longer wanted. And when I look at those scissors and see all those children in her class with all their demands and know she was so good to everyone. Students and adults included. Your mom really was a wonderful, dear human being.

Carol was a mentor, teacher, boss, friend, and second mother to me for over 20 years. We worked together every day through good times and bad. Through the years we had countless students come and go through our classroom doors, and Carol had a way of making a difference with each and every one. Many of our former students still lovingly refer to Mrs. Ganzer as their favorite teacher to this day. She was patient and kind beyond compare. She was a wise, and extremely generous woman who always put others needs ahead of her own. She taught me so much, more than she probably ever knew, for which I will always be grateful.
Rest in peace Carol.

Mrs. Ganzer taught Vicki and Chris at Gavin many years ago. She would be very proud to know that Vicki and Chris are independent "special needs" individuals who learned many things from Mrs. Ganzer.

Our deepest condolences for Mrs. Ganzer's children and their families.

I had the honor of being in her classroom her final year of teaching. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers as she has been since we first met.

My condolences to Carol's family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. Her teaching skills went beyond "the book". She connected with her students and their families at so many levels. To me she was more than a co-worker. She was a friend who helped my family and me through hard times. Her compassion, intelligence and especially her humor will not be forgotten. I'll remember her singing and signing with the class "She'll be coming around the mountain wearing pink pajamas" with a big smile on her face. God Bless.

My sympathies to Carol's family. Carol was a teacher to my son Bradley at Gavin School several years ago. Not only was she the most wonderful of all his teachers but also very kind to me and my son. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. She will be missed.

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. There is little I can say or do to ease your pain and suffering. Life is short and our loved ones are gone from our lives too quickly. May God's promise of a resurrection, found at John 5:28 & 29, bring you comfort during this time of sorrow.
