As an accompanist at St. Joe's in Round Lake, I always looked forward to the masses said by Father Fitz. Father's sermons were always full of Irish wit. Father Fitz used to call me Mrs. Liberace. That always made me laugh.

We all have an angel watching over us.

Rest in peace Father Fitz. Your kind heart and spiritual leadership is irreplaceable. Simply one of a kind. You have been a guide to us for many years, myself not as long as Kevin. You both started at St. Bede many many years ago, you as a new priest to St. Bede and Kevin as a new student. Throughout those 30 plus years you still always called him "Kevin from Heaven". You had remained in his life even when you were away from St. Bede. He will cherish the letters he has that you had written him over the years and the wonderful memories of going to the movies when he was young. Just as you always told us that you prayed for us every day we will find comfort in knowing that you will now be watching over us from Heaven. All of our love....Kevin and Denise Kaminski

I spent years working for St. Joseph while my boys attended the grammar school there. I carpeted the rectory. Typeset the newsletter. Designed the website. Designed the parish and school promotional material. Pulled Cat-5 cable under the school. Repaired computers. I got to spend quality time with Fr. FITZ in the rectory and in less "official " settings. He truly was a warm, kind, generous, loving man. My Children Loved Him As well. We all did. May God Bless His Soul. RIP
